WINERMAKER NOTES
Most notably, the 2015 vintage for Napa Valley was earlier to start, earlier to finish, and resulted in much lower tonnage than recent years. The weather played a significant part; most of our rain fell in December of 2014, and the following months were much drier and by mid-summer, warmer than usual.

After three seasons of high yield, we were due for a correction, and between some cooler weather during set in May, and possibly less water in the soil due to the lack of rain, we did harvest significantly less fruit.

Blend: 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot.

Alcohol: 15.5%
92 POINTS - "A dense and rich wine with blueberry, red brick and tile aromas that follow through to full body, tight and chewy tannins and a fresh finish. Needs a year or two to come together." - James Suckling

90 POINTS - "Containing a 4% splash of Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve has a cassis, pencil shavings, spice box and earth-scented nose. In the mouth, it's pretty oaky, firm, chewy and a little drying. It offers decent expression with a mainly earthy character and a very big, full and warm finish." - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Generations is a Bordeaux-style blend created to honor our family'spast, present and future. The fruit is night-picked from our estatevineyards in Yountville and aged in new French oak barrels. Aromasof black cherry, coffee bean and blueberry segue to a full-bodied wine with a long finish of ripe berry and toasty crème brûlée.
