FOOD PAIRING
Coming from the prestigious Oakville appellation, home to many famed wineries, proudly hand-craft this Cabernet Sauvignon with an extremely dark color. The nose is intense and true to Cabernet Sauvignon with black pepper and spice but also leathery notes. On the palate it is a serious wine, more Bordeaux driven but with big tannins, well made and a return of cigarbox and leathery notes that are not too offensive. Very serious in its construction, good tannic texture with ample acidity and a medium longtannic finish.
94 POINTS - "Led by a rich, silky texture and a deep red hue with hints of violet. The wine opens up with alluring scents of dark fruits and ripe berries intermingled with sultry nuances of cocoa, black truffle, roasted espresso, and cedar. On the palate, the expansive flavors of dark cherry, blackberry, ripe plum and cranberry are mixed with hints of dark chocolate, baking spices, wild sage and a kiss of fine French oak, leading to a long, generous finish. When you count in the smooth tannins, vibrant acidity and firm structure: there’s a journey waiting to happen in every sip of this well-crafted wine." - Chris Sawyer
90 POINTS - "Some lightly herbal and grassy notes sit across black currant and iodine aromas, as well as cedary, fresh oak. The palate has a supple and fleshy feel with toasty oak holding sway over blue fruit and mid-weight tannins. Drink or hold." - James Suckling
