WINEMAKER NOTES
In the windswept expanses of Patagonia lies a winery unlike any other: Bodega Otronia. Here, amidst the rugged beauty of parallel 45´33, where the earth meets the sky, we craft wines that embody the untamed spirit of this last southern frontier. Our Otronia Rugientes 45 2019 Pinot Noir is a testament to this unique terroir, a symphony of flavors born from the dance of wind, sun, and soil.
Picture this: a delicate ruby elixir, shimmering with purple hues like a precious gem in the Patagonian sunlight. This wine is not merely fermented; it is crafted, meticulously blended from select lots of Pinot Noir, each vinified separately to capture the essence of our Sarmiento terroir. Harvested in the crisp March air, fermented in concrete vessels with 50% whole clusters, our Pinot undergoes carbonic maceration, infusing it with fruity notes and aromatic complexity that dance on the palate with each sip.
But the journey doesn't end there. Our Otronia Rugientes 45 is aged to perfection, 80% in French oak foudres and 20% in concrete vats, for a luxurious 18-20 months. The result? A sensory experience like no other. Red fruits, from the sweet tang of cherries to the lusciousness of ripe strawberries, mingle with spicy nuances of black pepper and cinnamon, underscored by subtle mineral hints that speak of the land from which it springs.
Defined by its freshness and delicacy, this Pinot Noir is a revelation in a glass. Medium-bodied yet infinitely complex, it caresses the palate with a symphony of flavors that linger long after the last sip is savored. With a modest alcohol content of 12.5%, it beckons you to indulge without restraint, to lose yourself in the seductive embrace of its allure.
So, come, journey with us to the windswept landscapes of Patagonia, where every bottle of Otronia Rugientes 45 2019 Pinot Noir tells a story of terroir, tradition, and passion. Let our winemaker, Juan Pablo Murgia, be your guide as you explore the depths of this exquisite wine, a masterpiece crafted from the heart of Argentina's southern frontier.

Delicate ruby red with purple hues. Red fruits such as cherries and strawberries aromas, combined with spicy notes as black pepper, cinnamon and mineral hints. Defined by its freshness and delicacy. Very complex, with medium structure and a long finish.
