TASTING NOTES
Roserock is an extraordinary vineyard at the southern tip of the Eola-Amity Hills, in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Ancient volcanic soils, an ideal elevation range and the unique cooling effect of the Van Duzer corridor produce classic cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Roserock is LIVE-cer-tified sustainable
The fruit is handpicked from Domaine Drouhin's Roserock vineyard in the Southern part of Eola-amity Hills AVA. 2014 is a good, classic vintage according to Veronique Drouhin and this wine is very tightly knit. There is a purity of red fruits that is most apparent, which is carefully balanced with more floral and herbal notes that add complexity. The tannins are savoury and there is a lively acidity that lingers on the finish.

94 POINTS - "This is the first vintage of this wine. Shows intensity and balanced and beautiful fruit. Medium-to full-bodied, silky and beautiful. A really velvety and round texture to this." - James Suckling
91 POINTS - "The 2014 Roserock Pinot Noir offers blackberry and briary scents on the nose with a touch of earthiness - well defined and quite vivacious in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with dusky blackberry and blueberry fruit. It exerts a gentle grip in the mouth and delivers white pepper sprinkled over the finish that is nicely detailed. This should drink well over the next 8-10 years and at this price, I would be loading up." - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
90 POINTS - "This is the first release from Drouhin’s new Roserock property in the southern Eola–Amity Hills, and its structure and tension makes it a fairly dramatic departure from the Dundee Hills. The flavors are elegant and vinous, with scents of raspberry and tree bark, its tense frame of minerality registering as textbook Eola–Amity Hills. It feels youthful; a wine to cellar and serve with roast goat." - Wine & Spirit's
90 POINTS - "Broad and expressive, with cherry and pomegranate flavors, picking up pear and floral notes as the finish lingers against grippy tannins. Best from 2017 through 2024. 12,762 cases made." - Wine Spectator

2014 Roserock Pinot Noir has a lovely, deep red color. The nose is floral, spicy and beautiful, with an intense, savory, character. On the palate, there are notes of dark berry preserves, a touch of caramel, black cherry, dried flowers, and tilled earth. There is clear structure and balance, with good mouth weight and a long finish. I expect that we will be enjoying this wine for 7-10 years, or more, but it offers a lot now
