ABOUT THIS WINE
WINEMAKER NOTES
What makes Scarlet Vine so tantalizing? Start with a forgotten century-old vineyard halfway up a mountain in the famed upper Maipo Valley. Earthquakes, snowmelt and wind have stripped away soil and nutrients, leaving behind bare ground that is seventy percent rocks. The vines seem to will themselves to endure, ungrafted and untamed. In return for being left free to grow on their own rootstock they offer up a natural, uninhibited expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, with berries that are maddeningly small and dense – like jewels.

Scarlet Vine is deep ruby red, with aromas of ripe berries and toffee alongside aromas of vanilla, soft mocha and sweet spices of vanilla and cloves. It has an intense palate, showing structure, elegance and smooth tannins with a lingering fruity finish fruity.
